Ms Sheney Beh started her Ballet training at the age of 12 in Greenapple Ballet Academy under the tutelage of Ms Grace Chew in Penang, Malaysia and is well versed in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap Dance.
Ms Sheney has trained under renowed educators like the late Mrs Lee Le Lan, Mr Zhou Gui Xin (from China), Ms Michelle Loh and Ms Elise Mak in Ballet training and Mr Joseph Victor Gonzales in Jazz. She has took up numerous of performance and choreography as a dancer such as musical theater, lyrical and contemporary style. On the other hand, she was dancer in performing Les Sylphide at Istana Budaya.
Ms Sheney is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance since 2000 under the tutelage of the late Mrs Lee Le Lan. Subsequently in, she fortified her pedagogical credentials by securing teaching qualification from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Modern and Tap Dance.
Ms Sheney started her first school, Sheney Ballet Academy in Parit Buntar, Perak Malaysia established in 1998 and founded Nutcracker Ballet Academy in 2005 at Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya. In 2008, Nutcracker Ballet Academy was relocated to Bandar Sungai Long till present.
Ms Sheney has more than 29 years of teaching experience. She has prepared students for external dance examinations, performances and competitions. Throughout her tenure as an educator, she has shepherded her students in 100% passing rate in the RAD and ISTD examinations. In 2024, she taught the first batch of RAD Advanced 2 in Nutcracker Ballet Academy with Distinction. On the other hand, she also provides private coaching sessions focusing on body conditioning and flexibility or solos choreography to students.
Additionally, the Elite Team was newly formed in May 2023, Ms Sheney has been honored the Best Teacher Award in Youth Performing Arts Championship (YPAC) 2023 and in 2024, she was honored the Outstanding Instructor Award from the Asia Open Dance Championship (AODC) 2024.
Ms Sheney aims to maintain high standards of achievements in examination and competitions, however at the meantime ensuring all students have a healthy and joyful learning environment to strive.
